About the designer

Formally trained in Fashion Lauren Solomon completed a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles at UTS in 2006 with a sub-major in Design for Stage and Theatre.

Recently Lauren was one of four local Fashion Designers featured in Runway Inner-West 2009, a project that allowed her to create a new fashion collection whilst having the support of an Industry mentor. SUPER: Transeasonal 2010 is the result.

Lauren was one of twelve Australian finalists in the 2006 Lancôme Colour Design Awards, an internationally renowned competition.

Lauren was the costume designer for the Slick Operettas performance of 'Floradora' and 'Share Hell' at the PACT Theatre, Erskineville, in May 08. In 2010, she was the Costume Stylist / Coordinator for the independent feature film A Wonderful Mess.

Lauren's design style is described as contemporary and quirky with an avant garde edge.
